I DREAM'D IN A DREAM
I dream'd in a dream I saw a city invincible to the attacks of the
whole of the rest of the earth,
I dream'd that was the new city of Friends,
Nothing was greater then the quality of robust love, it led
the rest,
It was seen every hour in the actions of the men of that city,
And in all their looks and words.
--Walt Whitman
it is a shame that strangers do not smile at one another
nor do they acknowledge each others existence--
far too engulfed in their own agendas and rushing to where
ever it is they must be next---
it has finally begun to feel like fall around here and i am
enjoying every moment of it--
take that back i am dieing to go to an apple orchard; pick
some fruits, sip some cider, and enjoy the crisp fall breeze---

I try to smile and look at most as they pass me by in most social situations. And yet i barely ever get a response. It's sad that people don't take the time to do so anymore. One smile to another could change someone's whole day around. SUXXXXXX
Ps: lets gets some apples this weekend.
